Now we’re finally starting to see some notable video game releases, the UK Gaming Charts are being shaken up a little bit. Breaking GTA V’s win streak, Resident Evil 7: biohazard clambers into first place this week, which comes as no surprise as it seems Capcom has finally returned to form.
Although we’ve only just entered the fifth week of 2017, it’s taken up until Week 4 for us to see any noticeable difference in the top 10. Week 4 however saw a total of 5 new games enter into the Top 40.
Resident Evil 7 managed to score first place this week, and is the third best week 1 debut for the series behind Resident Evil 5 which still stands as the best week 1 seller.
As for Grand Theft Auto V, this title slips down to second place this week followed by another new entry, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter, which lands in third.
Elsewhere in the charts we see new entries Yakuza 0 land in eighth place, Tales of Berseria in fourteenth place, and Digimon World: Next Order landing in 24th place.
