Continuing with the updates for Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix have released not one, but two updates including a number of features and items.
A free patch, which is available to download now, induced a number of items and improvements for the game. This includes some additions to the PlayStation 4 Pro options, gameplay features, and a number of bug fixes.
There is also a small collaboration with their upcoming title, Nier: Automata, as well. Two songs from the NieR series are included in the update which can be played when travelling. ‘Weight of the World’ from NieR: Automata and ‘Song of the Ancients (Fate)’ from the first NieR game are the songs included. NieR: Automata is of course launching March 10 for PlayStation 4 and you can read our impression of the demo here.
Below is what you’ll find in the new update for Final Fantasy XV:

- Support for up to 60fps on PS4 4 Pro Lightweight Mode
- Added timed quests
- Level cap increased to 120
- Increased number of photos that can be saved to 200
- Implemented the use of music player when riding the chocobo
- Various bugs fixed
The upcoming Booster Pack+ that is set to release today for season pass holders will include a number of extra items. This includes the Booster Sword Weapon, the Dragon Mod fishing rod, and the Aviol fishing rod reel. Though it might not seem like much it is sure to make a good additional to your party for late or post game adventures in Final Fantasy XV.
This is also word of a free version of the Booster Pack releasing at a later date which will also included the Magitek Exosuits which were teased some time back.
