The last we heard of FlatOut 4: Total Insanity was in August, 2015 when the game received its full title. In the mean time, I’d completely forgotten that a new FlatOut game was incoming, so today’s news was a welcome surprise.
Initially set to launch in 2016, Strategy First, Tiny Rebel Games, and Kylotonn Games were looking for fan feedback to ensure the next title in the series would be a good one, that however was back in 2015. Now, courtesy of PQube and Bigben Interactive, FlatOut 4: Total Insanity is coming to the UK this March, and the first gamplay trailer for the game has made its debut.
Currently in development at Kylotonn Games, known best for their work on the latest WRC games, the new entry into the series is set to bring back the adrenaline pumping gameplay we all know and love from the classic series, except this time brought up to date for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The game will feature demolition derby races featuring muscle cars, race cars, trucks, and even an… Ice Cream Van? FlatOut 4: Total Insanity will feature 27 customisable cars in total which can be destroyed on 20 tracks each with their own fully destructible environments.
In terms of game modes, you can expect to find the iconic Stunt Mode, the Arena Mode, and an Assault Mode; which has players battle to the death using deadly weapons.
I’m pretty excited for this. You can check out the gameplay debut below:
