The final Defender series is just over a month away from hitting our screens and a new trailer as debuted, but what can we expect from the hero most will get confused with Iron Man?
Well, like Tony Stark, Danny Rand AKA Iron Fist comes from a wealthy family and is an orphan, kind of like Bruce Wayne. Also like Stark, everyone, thought Danny was dead after him and his parents were believed to have been killed on a mountain expedition.
When Danny makes his way back to his home, New York City, he’d spent years training in martial arts in the mystical city K’un-Lun and has become the next Iron Fist, a long legacy of martial artists who can summon mystical energy for energy blasts and other uses.
In New York, Danny must fight for the control his company, like Stark did against the bad guy from the first Iron Man movie. Though unlike the Stark Empire, Danny Rand’s fortune comes from trains, which is kind of geeky cool.
So far, we haven’t seen Danny wearing a costume of any sorts, though did you know that Danny Rand impersonated Daredevil during the Civil War storyline? Since this Danny Rand seems like he has his heads in the clouds, maybe he’ll don a Daredevil costume too? Maybe he’ll think it’s some kind of generic costume martial art heroes are supposed to wear?
I mean he has been away from 15 years so he may not be familiar with how much the world has changed since the age of heroes has begun. Judging by the trailer, we’re going to be seeing a lot of martial arts during the 13 episode run.
Maybe his best buddy Luke Cage will turn up? They do form the team Heroes for Hire.
Check it all out on March 17, 2017 if you have a Netflix account of course.
