I’m not sure what’s happening, but Grand Theft Auto V has once again entered first place in the UK Gaming Charts holding back Koei Tecmo’s Nioh from the top spot.
According to Chart-Track, Grand Theft Auto V has now scored its twelfth number one joining the ranks with the likes of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, Wii Fit, Zumba Fitness, and FIFA 14, each of which have scored at least 12 number ones in the UK charts.
As for Nioh, that lands in second place this week, though given how tough the game is known to be, I’m surprised it landed this high in the charts. That being said, Nioh has also been in development for quite a while, so the hype and anticipation for the game certainly helped it out here. According to Chart-Track, in terms of revenue, Nioh actually debuts in first place because of its average sale price of £44.45.
Elsewhere in the charts, Resident Evil 7: biohazard falls to third place, followed by FIFA 17 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
