Capcom has announced that their 2012 survival horror game, Resident Evil Revelations, which launched on Nintendo 3DS, and later released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
Resident Evil Revelations was a departure from the main named numbered series and almost gave players hope that Capcom was to return to the series’ horror roots, when it launched five years ago, but unfortunately Capcom went on to release Resident Evil 6.
Revelations focused on the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 and saw Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield once again returning to the game. It was more survival oriented centring on avoidance, evasion, and exploration, and was a pretty enjoyable game, even on the Nintendo 3DS.
Now, it looks like it’s making a comeback as the Resident Evil Twitter account posted the following Tweet earlier this week:
Resident Evil Revelations is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One physical and digital (NA and EU) Fall 2017! More information coming soon. pic.twitter.com/RnhFbk3xvE

More details are to come soon, so we’ll keep you posted whenever Capcom reveal more info. Does this mean Capcom have something up their sleeves for the future of this spin-off series? Revelations 2, which launched episodically back in 2015 did pretty well for itself, so perhaps there’s a third instalment in the works?
