Sumo Digital have released the second developer diary for their upcoming collectathon adventure game Snake Pass which looks at bringing complex snake movement into a video game.
Snakes are fascinating creatures, they’re surprisingly strong and they’re able to traverse even the most difficult terrain (except for satin bed sheets), but one thing I never considered is how difficult it’d be to accurately bring snake movement into a video game.
Well, Sumo Digital have of course considered that with their upcoming adventure game, Snake Pass, which follows the story of Noodle the Snake and Doodle the Hummingbird who embark on a daring journey to save the day.
They’ve also put a lot of work into grass and lighting too, all of which you can see below. Oddly however, I’m yet to see an actual snake in any of their videos…
