After the hugely successful launch of the Xbox One Elite Controller, Microsoft has introduced another new Wireless Xbox One controller to players this May, the Xbox Wireless Controller Tech Series.
The Xbox Wireless Controller Tech Series will begin with the Recon Tech Special Edition. This new controller is heavily inspired by military technology and performance patterns. It’ll come with a laser-etched texture on the front, gold accents, and textured diamond rubberised grip on the back.
Although it’s not quite as technically advanced as the Elite Controller, the Recon Tech Special Edition is definitely a looker. It’ll also have all of the same features as the new Xbox Wireless Controller including an in-built mic/headphone jack, improved range and Bluetooth technology, as well as custom button-mapping.
In addition to the new controller series, Microsoft has also unveiled a brand new feature coming to Xbox One called Copilot. This new feature will allow two controllers to act as one. This can be used for gamers to help inexperienced players, children, or younger siblings get into gaming, or get past a difficult spot.
It can also be used for those who need unique configurations to play, such as hands apart, hand and chin, hand and foot, and much more.
This Copilot feature will be available through the Creators Update later this year. The Recon Tech Special Edition will launch on May 4 for £59.99.
