Nintendo Fixes Left Joy-con Sync Issues

With the launch of the Nintendo Switch earlier this month came a number of issues affecting the Joy-con controller. Specifically, the left Joy-con was having trouble maintaining a connection to the console, leading to many unintentional Zelda-based deaths.

Nintendo has finally fixed the issue, and is offering repairs to all of those affected. It seems the issue is with the hardware itself, so those waiting for a simple patch to fix it are out of luck. Many have already sent their Joy-cons in for repair and it seems Nintendo is fixing the controllers using a small piece of foam.

Nintendo have blamed a factory issue for the faulty controllers but assure us that the issue has been fixed. In a statement issued on Tuesday Nintendo stated:

Moving forward this will not be an issue, as the manufacturing variation has been addressed and corrected at the factory level.

The good news is that Nintendo are offering repairs free of charge, so those affected should contact Nintendo customer support.
