Last week, there was a reference to Nintendo on the South Park Twitter account. This caused widespread speculation that this was confirming a Switch version of South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

Yesterday, a spokesperson for the South Park studio squashed these rumours, stating that no Switch version was planned. Speaking to IGN, the spokesperson said “South Park: The Fractured But Whole won’t be coming to [the Nintendo] Switch.”
It seems the tweet was merely referencing an episode of the show from season 10. In the episode Cartman freezes himself to forgo the wait for the launch of the Nintendo Wii.
It’s important to note that the game’s publisher has yet to comment on the statement.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole was first announced at E3 2015 and was recently delayed out of its early 2017 release date. the game was originally delayed from late 2016 so has been a long time coming.
