Blizzard has announced that Journey to Un’Goro, the fifth expansion for Hearthstone, will be arriving pretty damn soon. How soon? Well this Thursday, April 6.
Having revealed most of the set’s 135 new cards, Blizzard has announced that players will be able to embark on their own journey later this week. In addition to the new cards, Journey to Un’Goro also introduces some new mechanics, such as the new “quest card” legendary card.
When put into play, these cards challenge players with certain challenges such as summoning a certain amount of minions throughout the course of the game. It’s definitely an interesting way to make gameplay more challenging, for sure. Completing one of these quests rewards players with a powerful minion.
Each of the game’s nine classes will have a unique quest and reward and if achieved, will be able to change the course of a match completely.
April 6 will also mark the beginning of Hearthstone’s Year of the Mammoth with cards from Blackrock Mountain, The Grand Tournament, and League of Explorers, will rotate out of Standard Mode and will only be playable in Wild.
