After weeks of news for the Japanese and mobile release of Lady Layton, now known as Layton’s Mystery Journey, Level-5 has unveiled that it’ll be launching in the west this fall.
Formerly known as Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadne’s Conspiracy, Level-5 changed the name to make it seem a little more regal. It’ll be now known as Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy and will be launching in Japan this July on 3DS and worldwide on iOS. It’ll then be launching in the west this fall.
The latest instalment in the Professor Layton series will focus on Layton’s daughter, Katrielle, or “Kat”, in search of her father as he mysteriously disappears. Apparently, this game will be a slight departure from the series as it’s made up of “a combination of smaller conundrums and puzzles” which will need to be solved in order to complete the overall game. “This new format is going to appeal to existing Layton fans as well as attract a brand new audience,” claim Level-5.
