Call of Duty WWII First Trailer Reveal

Today Activision showed off the first trailer for the newest Call of Duty game, named Call of Duty WWII, and hit us with a bunch of other information.

Call of Duty WWII will be releasing on November 3 of this year and before we get there we’ll have a beta to look forward to, as confirmed during the live stream.

Sledgehammer Games is bringing Call of Duty back to its roots with their first game in the series since Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. Call of Duty WWII will go back to the classic, boots on the ground gameplay in a gritty World War II setting that is described as “emotionally dark and visually beautiful.”

The single player campaign will feature Transformers star, Josh Duhamel, as well as a full cast of characters to play your squad mates through the famous battles such as the infamous D-Day.

We saw slight teases of multiplayer during the reveal but we’re told more information on that front will be shown at E3. The small tease we did see was a quick clip of the “Headquarters” you visit and walk around in. Think of Destiny’s Tower, kind of like that, although we don’t have the full information just yet.

The game also features a co-op mode which appears to be a classic gaming trope, Nazi Zombies. We were treated to a quick tease to that but a full reveal is expected later this year.

From Activision:

“Call of Duty® is making a dramatic return to the greatest military conflict in history and where the franchise first began, World War II. On Friday, November 3rd, Call of Duty®: WWII players will enlist in an unforgettable journey of brotherhood across the European theatre in a mission vital to the success of the Allied powers. The all-new Call of Duty delivers gritty realism, authenticity and cinematic intensity on an epic scale. In addition to the game’s boots-on-the-ground combat, Multiplayer offers a host of new mode, system and gameplay innovations across iconic map locations; while an all-new Nazi Zombies Cooperative mode unleashes a startling, new storyline and adrenaline filled experience.”
