There’s a Fallout Tabletop Miniatures Game on the way

Modiphius Entertainment has announced that it’s working on a tabletop miniatures game called Fallout: Wasteland Warfare based around the Fallout video game franchise.

For those unfamiliar with Fallout’s humble beginnings, the game was initially a turn-based isometric RPG and considered a spiritual successor to  Interplay’s classic 1987 CRPG Wasteland. So with that in mind it’s surprising that it’s taken this long for a tabletop game to be developed.

The game is set to launch this November and will have players commanding a crew of 32mm scale miniatures through plaver versus player, co-op, and solo missions, that is according to Modiphius’ Chris Birch:

Players can expect to find factions, allies, and characters from the entire Fallout series represented in the game. Expect to find Nuka Cola vending machines, as well as everyone’s favourite companion, Dogmeat.

The game will include several missions that make up an entire narrative campaign arc as well as random missions for players to take part in. Crew Caps recovered during missions can be used to upgrade players’ crews perks, weapons, gear, and more in preparation for the next mission.

In addition to the base game, Play Packs will also be sold at retail stores. Fallout: Wasteland Warfare will be available to preorder this Summer, though we’re unsure of the pricing right now.
