Nintendo gave us a bit of news regarding the sequel to their unorthodox third-person shooting game.
Splatoon 2 was first showed off in January at the Nintendo Switch announcement and now we have a release. Before today we knew the game was coming in the Summer but Nintendo has confirmed we’ll be playing Splatoon 2 on July 21, 2017.
Also, on the same day as the release, Nintendo will be bringing out brand new Splatoon Amiibo. The new three pack will feature an Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, and a Squid, much like the first three-pack for the first game. Nintendo also confirmed that the previously released Splatoon amiibo will work on Splatoon 2.
A new game mode will be coming to Splatoon 2 called Salmon Run. Salmon Run is a wave based, PvE mode where the players will fight wave after wave of enemies. It’s a horde mode in Splatoon 2. The fun part is, it’ll feature four-player co-op.
