Koei Tecmo has announced that Nioh will be receiving both free and premium DLC on May 2 that’ll bring a swath of new content to the game.
In a free update that’s set to arrive in May, players will finally be able to put their skills to the test as a PvP mode will be coming to the game. In addition, the first premium DLC, Dragon of the North, will also launch.
Dragon of the North, which will retail for 1,300 yen, will include new weapon categories, scenarios, characters, Guardian Spirits, yokai, stages, and other new content. The Dragon of the North DLC will also be available for Season Pass holders, which also includes Defiant Honor and Bloodshed’s End packs.
In our review, Dylan Cook said that Nioh “excels in its truly challenging, yet ultimately fluid and engaging combat, though suffers in variation and repetition,” giving it a score of 8/10.
