Great news! The latest game from Arkane Studios (of Dishonored fame), Prey, will be getting a free playable demo on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The demo is titled Prey: Opening Hour and will be available from April 27.
The demo with give players a chance to play through the first hour of the game, granting access to the Talos space station and all of the horrors which lie within.
Prey centres around Morgan Yu, the lead scientist aboard the moon-orbiting Talos space station. Yu is working on a scientific breakthrough when the ship is overrun by the Typhon, alien creatures hellbent on destroying everyone on board.
The game is a re-imagining of the 2006 original which was a spiritual successor to System Shock. The series emphasises player experimentation and unique weaponry. Prey will feature zero-gravity sections as well as RPG elements. As the player progresses through the game they will gain an array of abilities from the Typhon, one being the ability to mimic everyday objects.
