Sensory Horror Game Perception Gets a Release Date

Today, developers The Deep End Games announced a release date for Perception, a horror game where the protagonist is blind. The game will release May 30 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Perception centres around a blind woman named Cassie who must explore a spooky mansion using echolocation. Cassie can knock on surfaces using her stick which will illuminate the world with sound waves. She can also use a smartphone to assist her through the ghostly halls.

Perception comes from a team which have previously worked on games such as Dead Space and Bioshock. In Perception, every sound creates a visual which must be used to survive in the game of hide and seek Cassie is playing with the ghostly presence. Players will also dive back in time as Cassie examines evidence while attempting to solve the mystery of why the mansion haunts her dreams.
