Mass Effect Andromeda gets knocked down a peg or two this week as Atlus’ highly anticipated JRPG, Persona 5 finally launches worldwide and being firmly placed into the top spot in the UK Gaming Charts.
While Andromeda has managed to hang on purely due to the lack of new releases, it’s time is up as Persona 5 pushes it down to fifth place. Launching on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Persona 5 is the first JRPG game to debut at the top of the charts since Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch back in 2013. It’s also the biggest launch for any Persona title and also the first number one for Atlas.
Else where in the charts, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands finds itself in second place for another week followed again by LEGO Worlds in third and Grand Theft Auto V in fourth place.
LEGO City Undercover is seeing a new lease of life in eighth place this week following the game’s re-release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Other new releases this week include Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition in twenty-third place, Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits in thirty-sixth. Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls unfortunately failed to make the top forty this week.
