More LEGO Dimensions Expansions Announced

Three new expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions launch in the UK on Friday 12 May. The new packs consist of a Goonies Level Pack, a Harry Potter Fun Pack and a LEGO City Fun Pack. They include collectable Sloth, Hermione Granger and Chase McCain LEGO minifigures.

The packs come with golden toy tags which grant access to their own corresponding Adventure World and Battle Arena. Each Battle Arena has four different gameplay modes and comes with its own traps, special powers and interactive environments.

As with all LEGO Dimensions the characters are fully compatible with all other characters and worlds.

The Goonies pack includes a level in which fans can play through the story of the iconic ‘80s movie, helping Sloth and Chunk escape the Fratelli hideout and search for One Eyed Willy’s treasure. Players can use Sloth’s strength to smash through walls or play as Chunk and use the classic Truffle Shuffle. Once the level is complete, players will be able to replay through the game and other levels as any of the seven other Goonies characters to solve additional puzzles and access more collectibles.

In the Harry Potter pack, Hermione Granger is main playable character. She can cast spells such as Wingardium Leviosa and Lumos. In addition to the Harry Potter Battle Arena, the Adventure World lets players explore locations in Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Players can also build the 3-in-1 rideable Buckbeak.

The LEGO City pack features Chase McCain, who can become a miner (to break silver LEGO bricks) or a fireman (to put out fires with his water beam). In this Adventure World players can explore areas like Blackwell’s moon base and the LEGO City Police Department.

The packs join established expansions such as the Ghostbusters pack, the E.T pack and the Doctor Who pack. They will be available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and WiiU.
