Codemasters and Koch Media have announced that F1 2017, the official video game of the 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, will release August 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The announcement comes alongside news that iconic classic F1 cars will return to the series. Codemasters have released a video (which you can watch below) showing off three classic cars which will be featured. These include the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 as driven by Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, the 1992 Williams FW14B that was raced by Nigel Mansell and Riccardo Patrese, and the 2002 Ferrari F2002 of Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher.
Speaking on the return of the classic cars, Game Director Paul Jeal stated “After an extremely successful year with the highly acclaimed F1 2016, we are delighted to be announcing F1 2017 and re-introducing classic F1 cars back to the series”.
F1 2017 boasts a deeper career mode, a brand new “championships” game mode and several multiplayer enhancements.
