Coming in time for Christmas the LS35X wireless gaming headset from Lucidsound is the first officially licensed Project Scorpio headset. Lucidsound has also revealed that the headset will pair with the console wirelessly, just like the Xbox One controller.
The device will work with all other Xbox One systems and most PCs. Though it’s worth noting that while the headset is compatible with PCs it may require a wireless adapter.
The headset is being pitched as a high-end experience for gamers which is in line with Microsoft’s Phil Spencer’s description of Scorpio as ‘premium’.
Features of the LS35X include:
- Precision 50mm neodymium drivers for detailed audio.
- State-of-the-art head tracking technology.
- Effortless adjustment of the most common controls.
- Increased comfort and enhanced audio accuracy.
Chris Von Huben, CEO of LucidSound said:
“The LucidSound team has designed the LS35X as a headset for this generation of Xbox players with the most simplistic wireless capability to date. We believe the Xbox gamer will be blown away by the feature set and quality. This is just the beginning of our announcements for E3 in June and it only gets better.”
The news means that we now know what the first official headset looks like before we know what the console itself looks like. Microsoft will reveal the console in full at their E3 press conference next month. It’s likely that the closer we get to the conference the more accessories will be announced.
Keep coming back for more updates on Project Scorpio.
