CD PROJEKT RED have announced that their full blown Witcher card game Gwent will be getting an open beta starting May 24.
The beta is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Players who took part in the closed beta will receive card kegs and other in-game bonuses as a reward for supporting the game.
The public beta will be a fresh start for everyone as card collections and progress will be reset to ensure everyone starts on equal footing. There will be a short period where servers are down in preparation for the open beta. From May 22 until May 24 players will be unable to log on and should keep an eye on the game’s social media accounts for updates.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game started life as a mini-game in the Witcher series. After gaining a cult following it was given a full release and has been in development ever since. It’s a card game which allows players to collect their own decks of popular Witcher characters and battle it out over best of three rounds.
