Xbox has revealed their next set of free games coming for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Featured this month are two big Ubisoft franchises and a new game coming to Xbox One.
On June 1 we’ll see the Xbox One release of Speedrunners. The popular PC game has been talking about making the leap to consoles for some time now and it’s finally here, and free! Run as fast as you can in a race against your friends to be the last one alive. It’s a fun game that will have you and your friends on the competitive edge of your seats.
Joining Speedrunners on June 1 as a Games with Gold game is Assassin’s Creed III for the Xbox 360. This game became backward compatible today and will be free for Xbox Live Gold members next month. Assassin’s Creed III sees you take the role of new assassin, Conor, as he finds himself in the middle of the American Revolution as he hunts down Templars for what they did to his family and childhood home.
Available for free on June 16 is Ubisoft’s hacker game, Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs launched in 2014 after a series of delays and massive E3 hype. The open-world game set in Chicago is at your fingertips as most of the city is prone to hacking straight from your smart phone.
Lastly, also on June 16, is Dragon Age Origins. The game launched back in 2009 but was a hit with critics scoring an 86 on Metacritic.
Also available in June is a multiplayer DLC Pack for Phantom Dust. Be sure to grab these game when the become available as the Game with Gold program practically makes having Xbox Live Gold worth it on its own.
