Boss Key Productions and Nexon has today announced that their gravity-bending shooter LawBreakers will be coming to PS4 as well as PC later this year.
For a while now LawBreakers has solely been a PC title, what’s more we’ve had no idea whether the game would be a premium title (and if so, how much?) or whether it’d adopt a free-to-play model. Now, we’ve got those answers.
The game is now set to launch on PC and PS4 simultaneously with the game starting at just $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99. The game will also offer PS4 Pro support.
For those who don’t know, LawBreakers is currently in development over at Boss Key Productions, a new studio headed by Cliff Bleszinski, the creator of Gears of War. The game is set to be a fast-paced multiplayer shooter where players can manipulate gravity to give them the advantage over the opponent. LawBreakers is set to feature “omni-directional gunplay with innovative movement systems and combat abilities.”
Nexon also unveiled the pricing model for the game. As mentioned above the game will start from $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99. Presumably that means there may be some special edition versions of the game in preparation. In addition, Nexon aslo revealed that there will be no season pass-style program and all post-launch updates will be free.
The game will however offer cosmetics for players to earn via the game’s “Stash-Box” system, but there will be no “pay-to-win” mechanics in the game.
Players attending E3 later this year will be among the first to play the PS4 edition of the game. So if you have a ticket, count your lucky stars.
