This weekend the Overwatch Twitter account revealed that the game has hit another big player mileston: 30 million players.
This is up by five million since Blizzard announced the last player figures of 25 million back in January. I guess those in-game events are really paying off, eh?
More than 30 million players have charged into Overwatch!
Thanks for grouping up with us, heroes. We couldn't ask for a better team. 💙 pic.twitter.com/j2lRsUtpnd

Overwatch is nearing its first year anniversary, and it’s safe to say that Blizzard’s attempt at creating a competent first person shooter has really paid off.
Blizzard announced back in November 2016 that Overwatch had hit 20 million players, the first Blizzard game to hit such a milestone in six months.
Overwatch is currently going through its first big in-game event, one that doesn’t run in tandem with any real world events. Uprising, as it’s called, has introduced a bunch of new skins (and more).
