Respawn Entertainment has announced a partnership with Nexon and Particle City to bring RTS Titanfall: Assault to mobile markets.
Following Respawn’s cancellation of the collectable competitive card game, Titanfall: Frontline, the idea of having a Titanfall game on mobile seemed like a far-off dream. Fortunately that doesn’t seem the case as Respawn have announced Titanfall: Assault.
Titanfall: Assault is set to be a top-down Titanfall RTS for mobile devices, that’ll have players competing against other players in real time with armies of Titans and Pilots.
The game is described as follows:
“In Titanfall: Assault, players will put their RTS skills to the test as they collect, upgrade and assemble a deck of Pilots, Titans and tactical Burn Cards which provide powerful battlefield support. The PvP matchups play out across different maps across the Frontier War and will require opponents to create and deploy their custom squad on the battlefield in order to outmaneuver enemy forces and win valuable rewards on the leaderboards.”
Nexon and Respawn announced a multi-year, multi-game partnership back in 2015. There’s a pretty high chance that we might see even more Titanfall games coming in the not so distant future. Here’s hoping they make it to release.
