Velocity 2X developer FuturLab have announced that miniature toy racer Tiny Trax is coming to PlayStation VR.
The game aims to recreate that special childhood feeling of playing with Hot Wheels and Scalextric. Tiny Trax revolves around slot-car arcade racing and has been optimised for VR. There’s a plethora of environments to race through including ice caves, underwater sections and even space stations.
Tiny Trax’s outlandish courses literally surround the player in VR. Cars drift around your feet, jump past your nose and skid around your body. The game includes 12 tracks and a soundtrack from Joris De Man who recently worked on Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Players will also be able to race in online multiplayer modes to top leaderboards and conquer their friends. Great care has been taken to ensure that Tiny Trax is as comfortable an experience as possible.
We’ll hear more details about the game at this year’s E3 but in the meantime you can follow @FuturLab on twitter. Check out the “VR Diddiy Drifting” trailer below.
