E3 2017: Scorpio Announced as Xbox One X

During the Xbox E3 2017 press conference, Phil Spencer head of Xbox announced the official name of the long rumoured Xbox Scorpio. The console is called the Xbox One X and will release November 7 2017.

The main specs are as follows;

  • CPU has eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz
  • GPU has 40 customised compute units clocked at 1172GHz
  • A total of 12GB of GGDR5 RAM
  • 1TB 2.5 inch hard drive as standard (50 percent faster than the Xbox One)
