Io-Interactive has announced that Hitman, the episodic reboot which launched last year, is now free to start on all platforms.
Following the news that Io-Interactive are now an independent studio and own the Hitman IP, the developer has now announced that Hitman on all platforms is now Free to Start meaning that everyone can download “The Playground”.
The Playground gives all players access to the ICA Facility which will offer unlimited play of two Story Missions, two Escalation Contracts, over 40 challenges, 17 achievements and trophies, as well as thousands of player-created missions in Contracts Mode. If players like what they play, they can simply transfer their save over to the full game whenever they decide to purchase it.

“I’m proud to announce that our first hello as an independent studio is to invite all gamers to play the beginning of HITMAN for free. There is a lot of love out there for HITMAN and with this offering we hope that many more will fall in love with the game. We believe that this is Hitman at its best. So jump in and give a try,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO Io-Interactive.
