Destiny 2 Raid to be Unlike Any, According to Game Director

A few details for the first raid in Destiny 2 have been revealed, and it’s set to be unlike the four raids before it.

According to game director Luke Smith, the first raid in Destiny 2, also known as Raid 5 right now, is set to be unlike any raid players have been involved in before. It’ll be set in a place that players “believe is real,” he said.

“Raid 5, when we looked at it, it was about building a place you believe is real. That was our priority,” he said in an interview with Mashable. “A place that you believe could exist. It’s unlike anything we’ve done. The team is incredibly talented; it is a joy to see them work.”

Smith also recently teased that he’s been enjoying a build of Destiny 2 at home:

Destiny 2 is set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and for the first time, PC. The console versions of the game are due to launch on September 6, with an October 24 release on PC.

A beta is also set to arrive first on PS4 starting July 18, then an Xbox One beta will begin a day later. PC players will also have a beta in August.
