Crash Bandicoot Trilogy Success Could Lead to Other Things Says Activision

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg has revealed in an interview that the success of the recent Crash Bandicoot trilogy could lead to the company doing more with Crash.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Hirshberg, he admits that they’ve been surprised with the reception of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and because of that, this could lead to Activision exploring more avenues with our favourite pants-wearing bandicoot.

“We are experimenting with Crash. We know there’s a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community. So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things,” he said in the interview.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy did pretty well for itself when it launched last week landing in the top spot in the UK Gaming Charts and becoming the fastest selling single platform IP this year so far.

“Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing. But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have,” he concluded.
