Issue #3 builds on the foundation laid by the first two and perks our interest with some ominous foreshadowing.
It turns out the Reapers have some big plans for Kim that we will hopefully get to see in Kim Reaper #4. Kim faces the consequences of her actions from #2 and gets a promotion, BUT this new position comes with a caveat. I won’t spoil it, but her choice will certainly affect her standing with the Reapers.
Kim Reaper #3 is an interesting one. The story ties up a couple things while also giving us the sense that the scale of this series might be bigger than we thought. Between the “I have big plans for Kim” moment and the introduction of zombies near the end of the issue, it looks like Kim and Becka are about to embark on one wild ride.
The writing once again makes this series a joy to continue. The day to day struggles of being a college student combined with the struggles of being a grim reaper make it easy to sympathize with Kim and Becka… Well maybe not the Grim Reaper bit, but it says something when a ridiculous concept like this translates so well to it’s readers.
With the scope of Kim Reaper seeming like it will be getting bigger and even crazier I personally can not wait for the next instalment to come out.
Kim Reaper #4 hits shelves July 12!
