Quentin Tarantino’s next movie will reportedly be tacking the Manson Family murders, and he already has a star-studded cast lined up.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Quentin Tarantino is quietly working on his next project that’ll be a movie based on the Manson Family murders. While it’s still very early days, he’s reportedly talking to stars such as Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence, and producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein are also attached.
Production company WME are, according to sources, in the early stages of talking to studios to co-finance the venture, while Tarantino is also putting the finishing touches on the script. There are plans to shoot the movie in 2018, with indications that the summer is most likely.
While script details are still under wraps, The Hollywood Reporter says that one of the stories centres on Sharon Tate, the actress and wife of Roman Polanski who was murdered by Manson. Reportedly Lawrence is not considering the Tate role.
It’s worth noting that this is of course all based on sources and may not manifest into anything, however if true, this would be Tarantino’s first movie based on true events.
