Messhof has announced that Nidhogg 2, the sequel to the 2014 indie hit, Nidhogg, is set to launch on PC and PS4 on August 15, with console pre-orders beginning on July 18.
Aside from improved gameplay, Nidhogg 2 is set to bring along a brand new art style that has been the talk of the town since its unveiling. Fortunately Messhof have detailed the reason behind the change in a post over on the PlayStation Blog.
“While it might take a few moments to adjust to the new look, we think you’ll enjoy this lively new world with all its visual absurdity and fun character possibilities. I know that we’ve certainly had a blast creating it,” concluded Mark Essen.
In addition to the new art style, the game will come with character customisation with all manner of things such as hair dos, clothing, body parts, and much more. Seriously, it looks great, and I can’t wait for this game.
