2018 Pokémon Championship Series Dates Announced

The Pokémon Company has announced the dates for the 2018 Pokémon Championship Series, that’ll bring together some of the top Pokémon TCG and video game players under one roof to compete to be the 2018 champion.

The 2018 Pokémon Championship Series season dates have been revealed, as well as the dates for this year’s Pokémon European International Championships, which will take place at ExCeL London on November 17–19, 2017.

Now Champion Points have been reset, players can begin competing and earning Points for the 2018 seasons right now with various events being listed under the Champtionship’s event locator. However, from September 1, 2017 the next Pokémon TCG format rotation will take place, so tournaments early in the season will continue to use the current legal sets. The Pokémon Championship Series isn’t just for the elite however as all players, new and old, can take part and compete in various events. The following Play! Pokémon Championship Series events are open to all players:

  • League Challenge (TCG only)
  • League Cup (TCG only)
  • Premier Challenge (VG only)
  • Midseason Showdown (VG only)
  • Pokémon Regional Championships
  • Pokémon International Championships
