Crash Bandicoot has once again beaten another big seller to the punch, this time it’s Nintendo’s online shooter, Splatoon 2.
A sudden surge in sales of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has catapulted the game into number one again. This surge can be attributed to retailers here in the UK getting the game back in stock once more.
This puts Crash Bandicoot on part with The Last of Us: Remastered with the most weeks at number 1 for a PS4 only title.
This means that last week’s new release, Splatoon 2, has to settle for number 2 despite a pretty decent debut. The game comes close to claiming number 1, but it just didn’t quite hit the mark.
Splatoon 2 is however Nintendo’s third biggest ever Switch launch out performing the original title. This puts Splatoon 2 behind The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which themselves find their way back to the top ten this week in fourth and sixth respectively.
