Rayman Legends, which was originally Wii U exclusive before poor sales led to ports, is finally coming to Switch this September. Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition, which was announced earlier this year, has had its release date updated from 2017 to September 12 2017.
In a press release Ubisoft announced the release date and that a free demo of the game will be available this summer.
If you’ve never played Rayman Legends, the Definitive Edition might be the perfect place to start. It features the standard platforming you’d expect in a Rayman game but will take advantage of the Switch’s unique hardware and make use of features not seen since the Wii U edition.
For example, with the Nintendo Switch undocked players can use the touch screen to take out enemies, manipulate platforms and cut ropes. Players will also get to play a new and exclusive tournament feature which has not been seen in the game before.
Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition releases on September 12 for Switch.
