Lost Sphear Gets a 2018 Release Date

Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory have announced that their I Am Setsuna follow-up, Lost Sphear, will be launching in January 2018.

Lost Sphear is the second title from Tokyo RPG Factory, the developer behind I Am Setsuna, is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 23, 2018.

The game is set to expand on the many features from the studios first title, and will continue their dedication to bringing together nostalgia of classic JRPGs with the latest technology. I Am Setsuna, for example, was applauded for its efforts of bringing back Chrono Trigger-like mechanics to a modern era.

Lost Sphear will tell the tale of a young boy named Kanata who wakes from a devastating dream to find that his hometown is disappearing. To stop his world from disappearing completely, he must embark on and adventure with his comrades to rebuild the world with the power of Memory.

In addition to the release date, Square Enix has revealed that those who pre-order the game from Steam or the PlayStation Store will receive bonuses. PSN pre-orders will receive a “Memoirs of the Moon” theme, as well as two music tracks. Steam pre-orders will receive a custom Lost Sphear wallpaper, as well as the two music tracks.

 

Finally a physical package exclusively from Square Enix store for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Those who pre-order these will receive two music tracks as a gift at launch.
