Smash Tour: July 28-30 ~ GOML 2017, Defend The North 2017, and more!

The combatatants make their way North, to Canada for the next S+ tier Summer of Smash Major, Get On My Level 2017, as well as Defend The North 2017. The regular slew of regionals accompany them as well.

This is Smash Tour.

What: Get On My Level 2017Melee Singles and Doubles, Wii U Singles and Doubles, Smash 64 Singles and Doubles, Brawl Singles
Where: The International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
When: Friday to Sunday, July 28-30
Who: Hungrybox, Mang0, Leffen, Nairo, Larry Lurr, ANTi, Isai, Mariguas
Why: Get On My Level has put a fantastic show on, for four years in a row, and is the most storied Canadian event in the scene’s history. Last year saw Leffen take it over Mango, as well as one of Armada’s lowest placings since his ascension to #1. With him sitting out this year, is it time for the other Swede to claim his second GOML trophy?

What: Defend the North 2017Street Fighter V, Injustice 2, Tekken 7, Smash Wii U, and more.
Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel, White Plains, New York
When: Friday to Sunday, July 28-30
Who: Punk, K-Brad, SonicFox, Dabuz
Why: Primarily an FGC event, Defend The North is easily the largest event since Evo two weeks ago, and the best and freshest opportunity to show the competition what they learned in Vegas. Is it going to take another Tokido to take the #1 spot from Punk?

What: New WaveUnranked Melee Singles
Where: Exfed, London, United Kingdom
Who: The best unranked talent the UK has to offer!
Why: It’s an Arcadian! The second ever held in the UK, this event bans anyone ranked in the Top 20 over the past three years in the UK from entering and competing, giving up-and-coming players the chance to prove themselves for what they’re worth. This might be just the boost of confidence a player might need leading up to Heir 4 in a few weeks.

What: MASTerMelee Singles and Doubles, Wii U Singles and Doubles
Where: Espace Pitot, Montpellier, France
Who: Trif, Overtriforce, Aephage, Malmortis
Why: The resurrection of the south France tournaments, MASTer aims to improve the French tournament experience and offer plenty of reasons for European talent to show up and kick it.
