As promised, The BBC have unveiled the thirteenth Doctor that’ll replace Peter Capaldi in Doctor Who, and it’s Broadchurch’s Jodie Whittaker.
After months of speculation the answer that all of us nerds have been waiting for is finally here, the thirteenth Doctor will be played by Jodie Whittaker. The announcement came during the BBC’s coverage of the Winmbledon men’s singles final.
Whittaker will be stepping into the role as the first ever female Doctor as the titular character has been (officially) played by a man since the Doctor’s first appearance back in 1963.
