Activision and Bungie has revealed the recommended and required PC specifications for Destiny 2 as well as announcing when PC players can dive into the beta.
Following the closed and open beta for Destiny 2 on PS4 and Xbox One, Bungie has revealed the specs for the game which will be able to answer the question of whether the game is able to run on your PC or not.
In a Weekly Update, Bungie announced that PC players will be able to try their hand at Destiny 2 on August 28, provided they’ve pre-ordered the game. It’ll then be open to all on August 29, and will end for everyone on August 31. This will give the developers two months to make changes, if needs be.
As for the specs, well, Bungie has revealed that the game will require a beefy PC for its recommended specifications, however it’s quite forgiving in the minimum spec arena.
- Intel – Core i5-2400
- AMD – Ryzen R5 1600X
- Nvidia – GeForce GTX 970
- AMD – Radeon R9 390
- Intel – Core i3-3250
- AMD – FX-4350
- Nvidia – GeForce GTX 660 2GB
- AMD – Radeon HD 7850 2GB
That being said, Bungie has also revealed what machine they use for Destiny 2 at events, and their “Event Machine” rig is pretty eye watering:
- CPU – Intel i7-7700k
- GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB
They’ve also thrown some suggestions out there for players looking to upgrade their machines and get the most out of the game, they’ve thrown out the following specs for that, too:
- CPU – Intel Core i5-7400
- GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- CPU – Intel Pentium G4560
- GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB
