Bandai Namco have today revealed the closed beta dates for its upcoming fighter, Dragon Ball FighterZ, which will be coming a little later than expected.
Earlier this month at EVO 2017, Bandai Namco announced that sign-ups for the Dragon Ball FighterZ closed beta will begin on July 26. Well, July 26 has rolled around and “sue to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement,” the company has decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta to let more players take part.
As a result, closed beta registration and the closed beta itself will now be pushed back. Registration will now take place on August 22, for the closed beta that’ll take place between September 16 and 17.
The beta will have four sessions taking place on Xbox One and PS4 during the following hours:

- 3rd Session* 2:00am – 5:00am (Sunday)

Bandai Namco has also revealed that due to the expanded scope of the closed beta, they’re aiming to include more than the previously announced 9 characters, as well as a portion of the in-game Lobby.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018.
