Epic Games’ zombie survival building action game, Fortnite, launched into paid Early Access on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One last week, and since then has surpassed 500k sales.
On July 25, Fortnite entered paid Early Access, and just 24 hours later, the game had surpassed 500k sales according to Epic Games. That’s a pretty incredible milestone considering the game is launching as a free-to-play title next year.
It does however come as no surprise considering the game has been in development for over five years and has become pretty highly anticipated since it held various closed-betas ahead of its paid early access release.
Absolutely humbled by the response to this week's @FortniteGame launch. 500k+ digital pre-order sales and just getting started! Thank YOU.

Right now, players can choose to get instant access to the game by purchasing one of a handful of different “founders packs” which cost around $39.99 all the way to $149.99 and give the player plenty of goodies for jumping in early.
Fortnite is set to finally launch in 2018, however we’re yet to get a more solid release date than that, right now.
