Ironcast, which originally launched for PC in 2015 and other home consoles in 2016, is coming to Switch and will release real soon. This will be the first time that the game’s developer, Dreadbit, and publisher, Ripstone Games, have brought a game to the Switch.
In Ironcast, players control Steampunk style mechs to prevent France invading Britain in the late 1800s. It’s an addictive little strategy puzzle game that on paper looks like a perfect match for the Switch. Throw in the fact that you can change up the control system on the Switch edition and play in portable mode, this will be the most mobile version of Ironcast we’ve seen.
Daniel Leaver, Founder and Designer at Dreadbit, speaking about the release or Ironcast on the Switch, said:
“I bought a Nintendo Switch at launch and I was really, really excited about the concept of the console. After playing it for the first time I desperately wanted to bring Ironcast to Switch because it felt like the perfect platform for the game.”
