Bandai Namco and Level-5 has today announced the delay of their upcoming JRPG sequel, Ni no Kuni 2: The Revenant Kingdom until January 2018.
After waiting for what felt like forever, this June we received a release date for Ni no Kuni 2: The Revenant Kingdom leaving fans pretty relieved that it’d fall within a 2017 release. Unfortunately that relief was short-lived as Bandai Namco and Level-5 have announced that they’ve delayed the game until January 19, 2018.
“We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologise to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying,” said Akihiro Hino CEO and President of LEVEL-5 Inc.
Initially announced back in 2015, players have been waiting for this sequel for some time now, sadly it looks like they’ve got to wait a little longer.
