In Nintendo’s latest quarterly financial report (from April through June 2017), the company have announced that they’ve sold 4.7 million Nintendo Switch units worldwide.
Nintendo has shared sales figures of a number of its hardware, including the Nintendo Switch, in its latest financial report. This give us our first official worldwide sales figures for the Nintendo Switch since its release back in March.
According to the report, the Nintendo Switch has sold a whopping 4.7 million units worldwide, which is pretty huge considering the Wii U sold a total of 13 million units during its entire lifetime. Elsewhere, Nintendo Switch software is also doing incredibly well with 13.6 million sales.
Nintendo has also updated its top selling list of Nintendo Switch software, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sitting at 3.92 million units sold, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sitting at 3.54 million units sold, 1-2-Switch at 1.22 million units sold, and finally ARMS at 1.18 million units sold.
It’s worth noting that these results are as of June 30, 2017, so this doesn’t include the recent launch of Splatoon 2.
The Nintendo 3DS continues to do well for itself with total sales of 67.08 million units, this us up from 66.12 million back in April. Software sales for the Nintendo 3DS are currently sitting at 335.10 million units.
