Splatoon 2, the squid-based arena shooter is due for release July 21 on the Nintendo Switch and eagle-eyed players have spotted a warning to those who want to rage-quit from online sessions.
The warning, which is shown below, was spotted by a Twitter User and reads: “Your previous online play session didn’t end naturally, which is PREEEEETTY suspicious. If this keeps happening, we’re gonna have to block you from playing online for a while. Make sure your internet isn’t busted and try again.”

Only Nintendo could come up with a message like this which is equal parts friendly and threatening but it does set a good precedent in warning players who could potentially screw up ranked matches for other people. Like is mentioned in the message though, this could negatively impact those with patchy connections.
Splatoon 2 releases this week for the Nintendo Switch and comes packed full of new features including new maps, weapons and characters.
