EA Games has confirmed that The Sims 4 is coming to Xbox One later this year, this is following an accidental Microsoft Store listing breaking the news ahead of the official announcement.
Earlier this week the Microsoft Store let slip that The Sims 4 would be coming to the Xbox One, some three years after its release. Later in the week EA confirmed that it would indeed be coming to Xbox One, but not only that, it’ll be landing on PS4 too.
Coming to Xbox One and PS4 worldwide on November 17, players will soon be able to get lost in their own virtual worlds as The Sims 4 and all of its additional content updates which arrived after its launch on PC/Mac in 2014, which is nice.
EA has also promised regular game updates following the console release, too.
“The addition of a console-version of The Sims 4 has been long-awaited by fans and newcomers alike, and we at Maxis are beyond excited to bring The Sims to new platforms,” said Executive Producer, Lyndsay Pearson. “The game delivers a beautiful The Sims experience on console and comes packed with tons of the fan-favourite content, so players can look forward to the unique gameplay, self-expression, and fun that have come to be tentpoles of The Sims brand. The possibilities to play with life are as endless as the players’ creativity.”
Players who pre-order the game on console will receive The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff pack, which features an array of patio furniture, from hot tubs to parasols, absolutely free.
In addition, The Sims 4 will also be receiving a Deluxe Party Edition which includes bonus content such as a Flaming Tiki Bar, costumes, animal hats, and more (including the game’s pre-order bonus). EA Access members will also be able to grab five days early access to the game via the Play First Trial.
