At Gamescom this week Paradox Interactive has announced a brand new expansion for Cities: Skylines that’ll be a little more environmentally friendly. Green Cities, is set to launch later this year.
Cities: Skylines – Green Cities will bring the ability for players to create sustainable cities, with organic stores, electric vehicles, and new services that’ll aid the eradication of pollution. In total the expansion will add 350 new assets to the core game, as well as adding a bunch of new visual options.
Players will be able to create diverse cities, or even better, completely eco-friendly cities which put out next to zero pollution as their neighbourhoods grow, what’s more, it’s not only vehicle pollution that’s taken into consideration, there are also solutions to managing noise pollution too.
Here’s a full list of what’s to come:
- Story to Story, Building to Building, Street to Street: New eco-friendly buildings, New specialization buildings, new alternative service buildings, new unique buildings, electric cars, new parks — 350 new assets in all giving a unique new look to Cities: Skylines
I Wish I Was Special, You’re So Very Special: New specialized options for all city zones, plus leveled-up specializations for the first time in Cities: Skylines
So What So What So What’s the Scenario: New scenarios, New policy options, and a new Monument to make your friends Green with envy
- Why Do Birds Suddenly Appear More Stylish: Of course we’ve included a flower-crown hat for Chirper.
Finally, a free content update is also planned for when Green Cities arrives which will include electric vehicles, road modding, changes to noise pollution, and much more.
